Tadashi Satomi est une idole virtuelle connue sous le nom de μ qui parvient à toucher le cœur de ses fans en comprenant le malêtre qu’ils ressentent dans la société où ils vivent. Cherchant à les sauver, elle les attire grâce à ses chansons dans son monde, Mobius, afin de les délivrer de leurs souffrances.
Cependant, un groupe de neuf personnes a compris qu’ils étaient retenus prisonniers dans ce monde et cherche à s’en échapper…

Ritsu is attacked by students taking on strange shapes, but Satake Shogo saves him with a giant handgun. Ritsu is taken aback by the sight of him relentlessly shooting students, but he comes to realize that other people can't see the giant gun or the transformed students. Lost and confused, Ritsu returns to his home where he's greeted by his Mother who's now covered in static and repeating the same exact lines.
